Darby’s ex-husband had betrayed her, his family has stolen her child from her, and now she’s back in town, determined to get what is hers… her child. If that means she has to kill some people… including her ex-husband, so be it.
Gareth has been imprisoned ever since that faithful day his family stole his child. He’s been waiting for the time that his family lowers their guard, and then he will make his move to get everything back. He never expected his wife to get in the way… or that she would think he betrayed her.
There’s lots of excitement in this action packed story, and I barely had time to take a breath before they were racing on to the next part. I found it hard to believe that they would find time to get together during this, but somehow they did. The chemistry between Darby and Gareth is hot, although the lack of trust between them initially was a little disturbing; it’s understandable given the circumstances. I also would have liked to know more about Gareth’s people and how they interacted, and Darby’s sister was pretty intriguing as well. I though it was an exciting to read and try to figure out what they were going to do next. It’s definitely a page turner, and if you like action in your romances you won’t be disappointed. I will only say that I wish that Darby had been a little more involved in it the story after she meets up with her ex, but I can’t say too much without giving it away. Decking the Hollisters is an action packed story that will make you wish there was more to come on this fascinating world.
