Mystery

DEATH OF A GARAGE SALE NEWBIE by Sharon Dunn

Three Horses, Montana

Ginger Salinski has never paid full price for anything. Just thinking about paying full price, just about does her in. She is very good at finding great deals at garage sales and knows a good sale at the local department stores. She is part of BHN, Bargain Hunters Network, there are four women, each week they all go to different sections of town to find the best price they can at garage sales, and they then compare what they each bought. Also twice a year they go shopping at the mall at midnight to find the best price on the sale racks.

Ginger receives a couple of messages from Mary Margaret Parker, a member of the BHN, stating she may be in trouble from something that happened in the past, Ginger does not know what to make of this, when Ginger goes to Mary’s house, Mary is not to be found, there is no note, her VW is missing, all Ginger has is the items Mary had picked up at four garage sales. When Mary Margaret turns up dead with an arrow through her, Ginger and the remaining members of their little group decide to find out what happened and to bring Mary Margaret’s killer to justice.

When these women start poking around, the local police department is not forthcoming with help. They have more or less buried this murder. Ginger and her buddies will have to solve this on their own and hope nobody else gets an arrow through their back.

What a great book. It is well-written, fast-paced; the characters are a lovable bunch. They all have reasons for doing what they are doing. This is the first book in a series. No disappointments will be found between the pages of DEATH OF A GARAGE SALE NEWBIE.
