Aurora’s boss has been airlifted out of the remote site she’s working at because of a heart attack, and now she is completely alone. Oddly enough, he seemed desperate that she doesn’t go into his lab for any reason, and to her that is like raising a red flag to take a look, once he is gone. Though she tries to resist, her curiosity gets the better of her and when she investigates, she gets a big surprise. There are two men frozen in ice, and what men! Even more shocking is what happens when the ice starts to melt…
Here’s the thing… I didn’t believe for one minute that these people fell in love, because for me the chemistry between the three people just wasn’t there. I think the reason for that was that I didn’t like Aroura very much, I kept trying to like her but failed. In my opinion it was because she immediately went about manipulating Endre and Tabor with no real thought to their feelings, and didn’t seem like she really cared about them at first. Sure, when you first meet someone you don’t always fall in love, but I would think you would have some human decency. Even when she supposedly did, it didn’t come across as real. Endre and Tabor were pretty one dimensional, and I would have liked to have seen more lead up to the relationship between the three, at least a period of getting to know each other. The story could have been great, it was an intriguing story line with vampires and all, but the characters made it fall flat.
