This couldn’t be happening to her. The phrase repeated over and over in Estella Morgan’s mind. She actually turned her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend into rats. She didn’t do it on purpose. It just happened. Now she had to fix it.
Her powers have never behaved as they should. So in order to reverse her spell, she needed the help of a witch doctor. Unfortunately, nothing's ever free. In order for the witch doctor to help, she wanted something in return. Now to make right her wrong, she needed to persuade warlock, Jason Calhoun, away from dark magic.
Estella understood but the only way she could think of to change his mind was seduction. On first meeting, the attraction was mutual and more than she hoped. Until the night of her dreams turned her small world on its end.
This is a quirky and enjoyable short read. The unusual humor of some of the situations made me smile. The characters, both good and bad, were well rounded and portrayed very well, especially in such a short piece. This is not a romance but a short, entertaining read for those who want to add a little magic in their lives.
