Sugar and Spice contains four different stories with the Christmas theme. It captures the essence of the holidays and will leave the reader thoroughly entertained.

Gus Moss, a successful architect is returning home after years of absence. Although he has had a rocky relationship with his father, the news that his father’s Christmas tree farm is in trouble sends him home. Amy Bryant, owner of a public relations firm, is visiting her mom, Tillie. Gus and Amy’s path crosses when they are both at the same place and same time.
This was a heartwarming tale of adult children resolving their differences with their parents. Gus, Amy, Tillie and Sam come alive as the author does a fabulous job with character developments.
Ghost of Christmas Past by Beverly Barton
Katie Hadley is still mourning the death of her husband when she crashes her car. Mack Mackinnon, a retired military man, finds and saves her.
Mack and Katie sets off sparks from their first meeting. Mack’s gruff exterior is quite enticing as readers’ know the tenderness within. Katie and Mack find love when they least expect it. The author has written a romantic and erotic story that readers will love!
Twelve Desserts of Christmas by Joanne Fluke
Julie Jansen is stuck supervising students over the Spring Break. Matt Sherwood will be sharing the responsibility with her.
Julie and Matt is a lovely couple. They have to balance their responsibilities with their desire to be together. The author throws in a group of meddling students who try their best to throw a wrench into Julie and Matt’s plans. It makes for an enjoyable and fun read. This story also contains some yummy dessert recipes!
Twelve Days by Shirley Jump
Natalie Harris has been fixated on Jake Lyons. When the office has their secret Santa exchange, Natalie receives Jake’s name and Jake gets hers.
This was a great story with the reader being clued in to what is going one from the first. There is enjoyment to be had as we watch Natalie and Jake find their way to each other. A highly entertaining and romantic story, this was the perfect end to the anthology.
