Years ago, Allie left New York City, her job, and Max and Nick, her two bosses/lovers. She moved to Europe in order to chase her dreams of designing her own lingerie line and to escape the loving, but overwhelming presence of the two men. There, she learned enough about the lingerie business to start her own edible underwear company called Edible Delights. When Max and Nick find out Allie is living in California and stumble upon an opportunity to lure Allie back, they jump at the chance to seduce the woman they both love.
This story had an interesting premise with lots of possibilities. Allie’s edible underwear comes in gourmet flavours such as banana daiquiri, strawberries and sherry, and mango champagne. The majority of the story is set in a swingers club, which gives plenty of opportunity for an erotic atmosphere.
I had a couple if issues with the story. Although there are two male characters, we only really get to know Max’s feelings and deepest thoughts about Allie. While there is a scene where Nick examines his emotional and physical feelings towards Allie, it is very short and Max comes across as the dominant male character in the story. Nick is overshadowed and almost seems like an extra character that was thrown into the story in order to create a ménage a trios. I also felt this story focused a little too much on the sex and didn’t explore the romance enough. That said, it was a very hot story.
I thought the location of the swingers club was unnecessarily set far away from New York City and California – all the way in Alberta, Canada. The plot would have easily worked in either location where the characters were currently living. I also didn’t like the way the place was described, as Alberta is a province, not a city. It would be like saying Oregon, USA instead of Portland. Despite my issues with this story, I did enjoy it and would recommend it if you were looking for a quick, sexy read.
WARNING: Contains explicit sex including a ménage a trois and anal sex, as well as glimpses of group sex as observed by the main characters.
