Rebecca Thornton is working side by side with her husband, Daniel cleaning up after the devastating wildfire which the area. They are also dealing with a severe drought. They have lost the house, animals, almost everything they had. They have had to live in tents. She watches helplessly as Daniel struggles to provide for his family and to rebuild their home. The banks have denied them loans. Daniel will make a decision which could cost them their legacy.
Daniel was between a rock and hard place. He needed money to rebuild and the only person who would lend him the money was an untrustworthy businessman. People gave Daniel warnings about this person, he was desperate, and he had to take a chance for his family. He felt himself drifting away from Rebecca; he didn’t want to have to tell her what he had done. When accidents start happening, Daniel knows who is responsible, there is not much he can do.
Rebecca and Daniel will have to work together like never before in order to survive all which God has given them. Their faith and trust in each other will be tested to the very limit. They know only a miracle will save all which they have worked for all their lives.
A wonderful concussion to this series. The characters faith has been tested to its very limit, but they such strong beliefs and faith, it sees them through anything which they have been given to handle. The author, Bonnie Leon, keep the series fresh through all three books.
