Legends, myths and present time encompass this tale of love and history.
Kat Jonsottir, decedent of Icelandic beauty Katla Rollodottir, had grown up on the Legends of her ancestors. When her mother died in childbirth it was her grandmother Dagmar "Amma" who raised her and taught her of the legends,
always mindful that Amma had told her someday her prince would come for her. Now with Amma in a nursing home and her memory failing, Kat learned to live on the streets and do what she had to do to keep alive.
On that one morning, she didn't expect to find washed up on the beach a Viking from centuries past. Here was the man that had married her ancestor
-- Katla Rollodottir in the flesh. But how could that be he died long ago? It was Leif Nabboddrson who couldn't believe his eyes at seeing the woman who not only had him killed but so many of his men because she loved another. A stranger in another time Leif began to see that this truly was not the Kat from long ago but her beauty was still what captured his heart and soul. Why was he sent here to this time and what was the tie to this Kat would all be answered in time.
Would the handsome Lord Nabboddrson find a new life her in this time or would Kat have to make a decision that would not only change her life but history itself.
The story is presented well and bring both the present and the past into play excellently.
I love the characters and in this crazy world of today it makes all of us who are romantics want to believe it can be done.
