Meet the Sassy Snowbirds of Summer Breeze Florida. These Red Hat ladies are a unique group who help local mystery author Christy Castleman, work a mystery when a bottle with a note inside washes ashore.
Because a local relater is missing, the note is quickly delegated to that case. Christy enjoys using her research skills as a mystery writer to help solve the mystery of the disappearance and the note, but the deeper she goes the more danger she places herself in.
There are many plot layers in the story, including a romance for Christy if she wasn’t still recovering from a broken heart.
Told with a little southern lilt, When The Sandpiper Calls is an enjoyable read. I kind of wish I had found it earlier, but on the bright side, now, I’m closer to book number two. For a Cozy Mystery is this is the favorite one I’ve read this year. The mystery is real, the characters loveable and the way the clues are laid out and discovered are believable.
If you like your cozies with romance and a little danger, you will love this book. It earns my reviewers choice award
