Leita McLain has been burned by love in the past. Twice in fact. Life on the outer fringes of an asteroid belt to mine ore did not mean an end to life. She only wished she could find a man who wanted her and was willing to share her isolated life. For Her Pleasure sex shop had the next best thing, a companion 2000. It cost more credits than she wanted to spend, but to have a non-judgmental man in her life, and most definitely in her bed again, was worth it. So what if it had synthetic skin and technically not living? She didn’t have that many options, for she was nowhere near ready to trust a man again. It was the dreams fault. All of it. If they weren’t so intense and made her yearn for something beyond her reach, she could handle the situation by herself.
When a shady business deal went bad, Pierce Branson had no choice but to run. With a bounty on his head and hired killers on the loose, he slipped into a crate to escape detection. It wasn’t that he was claustrophobic, but when the crate wouldn’t open, he panicked. An automated machine programmed to monitor the system instantly filled the chamber with gas and sent him to sleep. He woke up to a sexy angel standing over him demanding sex. What guy could refuse? He knew she thought he was a robot. He intended to tell her the truth, but later. A few weeks of hiding out and loving a dream woman was just the thing he needed. But when his heart became involved, he feared her reaction to the truth. Ready to settle down, he hoped Leita would let him explain before she killed him.
For Her Pleasure is a hilarious book. Not only was the story unique, the fast paced writing style kept me glued to the pages and had me chuckling even after I finished. The first passage confused me a bit, but was easily explained. The main characters are wonderful, foibles and all! The secondary characters added the extra bit of humor and wit to make the story a must read. Fast paced, full of intrigue and action, this deliciously sexy read entertained me till the end. I loved it! What woman wouldn’t fall for a guy who was willing to give up the world for her love?
