‘”Our society has an epidemic of insecure people in it.”
This is the opening statement on the jacket back of this hard covered book.
And if you pay any attention at all to the news, you will agree this seems to be true. I like the way Joyce Meyer handles most of what she says, but much of it is based on her own experience and her own personality so the result, should you NOT have the same life experience and or the same personality type, may not be the same. This over simplification may leave some readers feeling hopeless, not confident.
Using life, some scriptures, common sense and a lot of opinion, Ms. Meyer helps the reader understanding what she thinks it is to be a confident biblical woman. She gives some helpful tools like on page 160 how to confront while caring. The chart tells confronting words on one side and what the same words would be if you used caring in confronting. I think it would be helpful to anyone who has trouble in dealing with sticky issues. Sometimes just saying the right words is the key.
The book is divided into two sections with a total of 17 chapters in the book
If you’re looking for a tool that gives helpful tips on how to be confident and sure, and how to deal with some life situations this book would be a good one to add to your collection.
