Webber had done his research well on Niki and realized it might be a slow process. What he didn't realize is that once he unlocked that passion from her he himself becomes captured by her.

Boston Detective Lara Stevens in knee deep in bodies, murdered women's bodies. In the past 4 days 4 women who danced at the local bar were found strangled and no clues. With her partner Hank out it was only Lara working on it. Only her until a young, blond blue eyed man walks in her office and offers to help her. He was a friend of the last victim and wanted to help find who ever did this. What Lara didn't plan on was he would stick to her like no partner she ever had and at times the closeness of this handsome male was distracting. When Lara takes on the job as dancer in the Beaver Lodge one by one she checks the locals never realizing the killer is right there. When she herself is about to join the other girls in their fate it's the young Renio Larkin who comes to the rescue.
Well written and a good twist ending.
Closing The Deal - Tess Harrison
Just a weekend jaunt to calm herself down was all Lani Morgan kept thinking. Calm down that was an understatement she was on the verge of loosing her business right out from under her and she couldn't understand why. Ty Roberts was good at his job. He wasn't called the closer for nothing, his job was to take over Lanie's company and then off to the next job. Tropical paradise Ty had three days to complete his job. Three days with Lanie or three lifetimes just wouldn't be enough. The island, the magic and the passion took over.
I found each short story to be exciting and each one though different the underling theme was all these women were successful, independent and to most who saw them happy yet they all share a need for love. It's a quick read but would be a welcome addition anyone's home library.
