Lady Charlisse Bristol, in her attempt to escape her evil uncle and locate her father, boards a ship bound for the Caribbean. A violent storm causes a shipwreck of which she's the lone survivor tossed on an island. Despite her sheltered upbringing, she manages to cling to life. But her future grows dim with the arrival of a pirate ship.
Captain Edmunch Merrick commands his pirate ship with a firm hand. His crew doesn't know his secret and his new-found faith makes it difficult to follow orders at times. Suddenly, he's thrust into the role of protector of a young woman stranded on an island.
Merrick takes Charlisse to locate her father who is not the father of her dreams. Instead, he's a bloodthirsty pirate. Now she has decisions to make and demons to face. Will Merrick leave her to face them alone? Has God abandoned her after all?
Tyndall captures the heart of adventure in her novel with well-written characters and fast-paced action. The inspirational theme of forgiveness and acceptance woven through the pages lends credence to the title.
