Paige Cavanaugh had been driving for hours. After leaving the church only hours before her wedding to Michael Baldwin she only knew that she had to put as many miles from her and San Antonio. The anger was still there, not only did Michael not love her she was part of a deal for him to get his inheritance. A deal her father was all in favor of to protect his business loan. She had no intention of being part of a business deal and she had no intention of being Mrs. Michael Baldwin.
When she arrived, or should one say ran out of gas in the town of White Tail and into
Ryan Cutter’s life. Ryan Cutter was not only a native of White Tail but a lawyer, rancher and on about every committee the town had. A man who could open many doors but somehow Paige felt it better to steer a wide path from him. Sticking to the story that she lost her job in Dallas and was just taking one day at a time till she found a spot she liked didn’t seem to raise any eyebrows except for Mr. Cutter. Somehow she didn’t seem the country girl type and he was interested to find out who she really was. What and who was she running from was his first question and soon he found he wanted to know more of the mysterious Paige Cavanaugh for more personal reasons.
A story that will have every female wondering is there really a place called White Tail and are here any Ryan Cutter’s left there Though the story is Paige’s one can’t help but feel that Ryan Cutter’s presence is felt even when he’s not on the page. With the small walk ins and outs of Michael Baldwin I as a reader had an dislike for him. He portrayed the perfect spoiled rich boy who would stop at nothing to get what he wanted and didn’t care who was hurt in the process.
In conclusion I give Paige credit for standing up for what she believes in and not letting any one force her into a life she would only regret. Ladies take a trip to White Tail and enjoy the love story of Paige and Ryan.
