In Too Deep
Eve Harlan is getting ready to go on a tropical vacation, but she needs to learn to swim before she goes. This fine woman may live in the winter wonderland of chilly Detroit, yet there is an indoor pool at the nearby college just perfect for her purpose. When she gets an eyeful of her swimming instructor, she cannot wait to get wet, really wet! After reading this you will never look at a swimming pool the same again.
This story in this single author anthology was this reviewer’s least favorite. Though the storyline was interesting, it did not have the polish or the more precise crafting that the other two stories contained. At times the multiples of the dreaded purple prose hindered this story, stopping the flow of reading, taking this reviewer out of the story. The premise was not believable to this reviewer. This reviewer just could not conceive the instant flash between the two characters sparking the way it did, in a blink of an eye, so to speak.
Shopping. Shoes. Sex.
What woman does not like shoes and shopping? Okay the sex part is a no-brainer. Amber is a sexy jewelry designer who also happens to write erotic romance that will singe your eyebrow. Shopping, shoes and sex are her favorite pastime. She is addicted to pretty men, men that can stop traffic. One day while out shopping she will run into a man that will catch her interested and heighten her arousal faster then you can say, charge it!
Ms. Alexis penned a spunky and snapping erotic romance that suited the storyline and characters to a tee, while balancing the sex and premise. Every reader can relate to shopping, jewelry, and a handsome hunk of a man. Ms. Alexis played her hand on this story and it was a royal flush!
Lovin’ It
Candy loves a good-looking man. She has struggled all her life picking the wrong men—married ones seemed to be her MO. She has finally met and married the perfect stud, Orlando. They have moved to Florence, Italy and are planning their future life together. Only some habits are hard to break.
This story is the jewel of this anthology. It has perfect wordplay to give it realism and it flowed beautiful. The main female character has issue that anyone can relate to. This story is what good erotic writing is all about…sizzling! When you get through reading this tale, you might want to have a nice, tall, cold glass of water handy.
He’s All That is a sexual foray taken to the limit by Ms. Alexis’ sharp-witted pen. Looking for sex served up hot and heavy, then this book will definitely satisfy that hunger.
