Danny Lee is an unusual mix of werewolf and Magi, making her one of the most powerful and wanted women in her world. She’d had a rough upbringing, her mother didn’t want her and she had to learn the hard way how to control both her wolf and her magic. Danny’s learned to come up swinging when something threatens her, but now she’s got so many problems that she’s starting to loose count. To start with, her brother’s missing, she’s just raised a demon for an incompetent coven, the alpha of the Striker clan pack won’t to let her go, the alpha of the Stone Claw Clan has decided that he wants to keep her, and a very sexy master vampire has her in his sights as well. The biggest problem she has with all these issues is that the only thing she has ever wanted was her freedom… and all of them seem determined to want to take it away. Danny is single-minded in her mission to remain free, no matter what it takes, even when a powerful master vampire decides to make her his own…
I loved the action and adventure in Half-Wed Moon, and there isn’t a moment when I wanted to put the book down. Danny is a very strong woman who has had to learn how to survive in a male dominated world that is all about alphas and who is in charge. She’s grown up to be an independent woman even if no one wants her to be that way, including the men in her life. Danny values her freedom to the extreme, and that sometimes gets her in trouble because she will defend that freedom to the death and beyond. I loved her attitude and her personality; she had rough edges and would speak her mind no matter what the situation. Half-Wed Moon is one of the best werewolf stories I’ve read in a long time, and that’s saying something because I read a lot of them. I can’t wait to read the next one in the series!
