This Devotional Prayer book is a delight to the eyes as well as the soul.
br>Between the pink padded covers of this short thick book are glossy pages displaying a scripture and prayer and beautiful photographs of real life grandmothers.
The scriptures and devotionals are set up so you can read from beginning to end, or you can choose from a very thorough index at the front. Perhaps your family is struggling with a particular thing like having a family time, there is a prayer and scripture for that, and if grandmom herself is facing some sort of need, she can no doubt find it in the index.
I enjoyed this book very much. I am a grandmother, although our family prefers the title of Nena (a variation of Nana), and found each devotion relevant to my concerns of my family. Also this book is enjoyable because the pictures show young grandmothers and grandma’s who look like they aren’t sitting around waiting for the oven timer to ding announcing the completion of a batch of cookies. Today’s grandma’s are on the go, and still devoted to their families; they might find it hard to fill the traditional role. This book puts the family foremost in her mind.
This book, of course is perfect for gift giving, but a nice book for a woman to buy herself and set by her bedside to read before sleeping or when she rises
