Archangel Michael has never forgotten Gemma or his promise. Until he gained permission to leave, Michael could only wait impatiently with just his dreams for company. When he was finally allowed to leave, he arrived too late to save Gemma. But in a twist of fate, all was not lost. Now with Gemma at his side and the demons defeated, all he had to do was convince Gemma they were perfect together. This task was his biggest assignment ever. Would he be able to convince the most stubborn woman he has ever known and the love of his life, that together they can overcome anything? Or will past fears and hard lessons keep Gemma from admitting her feelings?
The way the novel started really drew me into the story. A touch of humor and a bit of angst for both the character made them come alive for me. The book had a lot of back-story but it was handled in such a skillful manner, it did not come across as contrived or forced. It added to the story, and drew me further into Gemma’s world. About three-quarters the way into the book, the momentum slowed a bit, but the amazing descriptions and images created by Emma Ray Garrett kept me fascinated till the end. With a quick wrap up, Heaven and Hell managed to work around a seemingly impossible problem and allow you a glimpse into a fantasy world that will sweep you off your feet. Heaven and Hell, book three in a wonderful series, is one novel you don’t want to miss.
