Reverend David Parst is quite successful. He’s built a church, practically by himself, and he’s quite proud of the job he’s done. His mousy wife has been an asset, but David finds himself tempted by a lovely woman. His misdeeds will unravel his life and send ripples that tear away his family and congregation.
Jack Parst wants to forget his father and the God about which he preached. His rise to success was fueled by the need to succeed. His beautiful wife, Kate, and his mother realize he’s spiraling downward after another family tragedy, and they are unable to save him. Jack finds himself faced with the God decision once again. Fighting fear and rejection, will he reach in the right direction or become like his dad—a loser.
James David Jordan has penned an emotion filled novel driven by reality. So many families are caught in turmoil, and Jordan has captured the heart of every family member. Raw regret, depression, anger, rejection, pride: each is catalogued in this moving story of three generations of the Parst family. I highly recommend this five-star novel. You may need a tissue or two before you finish.
