When Francy Montgomery left her home, she was under the impression that the one man she loved and lusted for did not return her feelings. With that mistaken idea, she built a new life, which included another man, but she never forgot Dante. In fact, they talked on the phone often and Dante knew everything about her life, everything except the fact that she had a lover. After five years, some newfound control over her powers as a witch and an engagement, Francy has returned to Dante. What will happen when she discovers how Dante truly feels about her?
Dante has dreamed of Francy for the past five years. When their attraction burned out of control that fateful evening before she left, he knew he had to give her the freedom to explore and grow. But in doing so, he never dreamed she might be lost to him for he always knew that she was the one woman for him…his mate. Now, he’ll use any means necessary to make her see that as well.
Ms. Roth has hit just the right note with this quickie. Solo Tu tells the story of two people with special powers whose difficulty communicating changes their lives. Francy’s love for Dante compels her to seek him out one last time before taking the final step that would forever put him beyond her reach. Because of his need for gallantry toward the one woman he truly loves, Dante almost loses her. Now, he’ll use any means at his disposal to ensure that she knows who she belongs to. This short story sure packs a punch, building up the sexual tension between these two before finally releasing the pressure in an explosive encounter. In addition to all of that, there’s a suspenseful little twist at the end that surprises as well as pleases.
