Kirek
of Rystan needs help. He’s on a mission to take out the Federation’s
worst and deadliest enemy and he can’t do it alone. Since his psi was
damaged years ago and hasn’t fully recovered itself, he can’t make it
back to destroy Zen and save the galaxy. To go back physically would
take everything he has, but without having his full abilities, he can’t
do it alone.
Captain, Angel Taylor has one mission on her mind. She’s going to haul
in the largest haul of her life and career. Determined to get her haul
and get on with life, she’s surprised to find stow-away, k of Rystan
aboard her ship seeking refuge. Psi-warrirors are known for their
extraordinary powers, and Angel is shocked at what he tells her and how
he needs her help.
As
Kirek and Angel team up to get back to Zen and destroy the empire as
much as Kirek dislikes causing others harm, they find themselves also
battling one another. Kirek’s seductiveness could be Angel’s undoing and
Kirek finds that living without Angel’s love, wouldn’t be worth living
at all.
Susan
Kearney’s exceptional series continues with The Quest.
After its predecessors [and other works by this author], I was eager for
more of the same from this author and she delivers it to her readers
once again! Kirek, what can be said about him that will do him justice?
Since meeting him, Kirek’s been memorable and a hero worth having his
own book. Ms. Kearney does a wonderful job in showing the in-depth
caliber of who Kirek is and pleases a devoted reader by doing a great
character justice with his own story. Angel and Kirek have an immediate
connection and sparks fly off the pages.
The
intrigue into how Kirek would return to Zen and how the battle would
fall, hooks a reader into the story. With absorbing descriptions, tense
dialogue and great, in-depth characters, Ms. Kearney has another
successful story on her hands. The Quest shouldn’t be
missed!
Other
stories in this series, The Challenge, The Dare, The Ultimatum.
