Cora has been having dreams of death. She sees the murder of girls with blue eyes, a shade that is similar to her own. Cora decides she must go to the police with what she knows. She is met with skepticism. Rogan is an ex-special ops soldier. He quit when he came under suspicion in the disappearance of his girlfriend. Having heard about another missing woman, he decides to stop off and check it out. With Rogan’s past, it is not surprising the police become suspicious of him and Cora. Can Rogan and Cora solve the crimes before someone else is murdered?
This was a well-written and very enjoyable book. Rogan and Cora is a lovely couple. Their relationship is filled with intense sexual desire and some very tender moments between them. The reader can picture Rogan and Cora as the author has fully developed their characters. They are a superb lead couple as they join forces to track down the killer. The secondary characters add flavor and suspense to the story. All of these characters make the story work on all levels. It goes without saying the villain in the story is truly evil and scary. The author lets us into the villain’s head and it is not fun to see the ramblings of a disturbed person.
Angel Eyes is a spine tingling and extremely suspenseful novel. Ms. Clark’s story will keep you riveted to the pages. The romance between Cora and Rogan softens the story and takes the reader's mind of the killings for awhile. However it is the whodunit that is the prime mover of the storyline. Who the murderer is will be a surprise to the reader as Ms. Clark takes us on a roller coaster ride until the end. Angel Eyes is a perfect blend of the romance and suspense!!
