Larissa hates her boss, would quite in fact … if she wasn’t being blackmailed. Forced to deliver illegal weapons on her cargo ship, Larissa promises herself this would be the last time. She plans on taking some time off, maybe even taking a vacation. Only docking does not go as plan. When the cargo was inspected, a malfunctioning gun killed one office and wounded others. Arrested and locked in a holding cell, Larissa can do nothing as her fate was being decided.
Captain Marcus Devlin wanted Larissa from the first moment he laid eyes on her. With the help of his second in command, Kirlos Adesta, Marcus learned she was innocent. But that does not mean she was free to leave. Until matters were settled and the real culprit arrested, Larissa was under guard. Unless… she would like to make a deal.
Mmmmm, what was a girl to do? Deprived of company for months, Larissa all but jumps at the chance to take the two men to bed. All she has to do to win the deal was resist them for two hours. How hard can that be? As the three become involved, Marcus and Larissa’s past come back to tear them apart. If they don’t work together, one or more of them could die. Can trust and love grow within such a short time? For without either, their enjoyable weekend could be deadly for all of them.
Wow! Again, wow. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this short novel was an absolute wonderful read. Silvia Violet has a way of making the pages come alive with the characters story. In only a few pages, the lonely lives of three people are brought forth in such a way that I can’t wait for the next installment. Everyone has a certain tastes and each of the characters felt equally matched for one another. If you are looking for a hot read, three dimensional characters and an overall entertaining story, make sure you check out Pilot’s Bargain.
