THE MERCY OF THIN AIR by Ronlyn Domingue

1920 and seventy years later br>
Raziela Nolan is dead. She chooses to stay “between”, the realm which exists after life and before whatever lies beyond it. She weaves an amazing story to the reader.

She had died in the 1920’s. After seventy years Raziela decides its time to find out what happened to her first and only love, Andrew. For some reason she has been at Scott Duncan and Amy Richmond’s house, or what she likes to call “haunting” their house. Scott and Amy’s lives somewhat mirror Raziela’s live, she tells a narrative of her life. She also tells of a spirit named Eugenia, who was alive during the civil war. Eugenia will not leave her place, as she thinks the war is still on. Raziela also has to come to terms about a secret in her past, which is preventing her from going on to the next realm

Without giving away too much of the story, this book tells of love which can withstand the shift of time and space, that sometimes the way we remember certain events in our lives are not necessarily the way it really happened.

This was a treat to read. While learning about Raziela, the reader forgets she is a “spirit”. Ronlyn Domingue did a wonderful job, her style of writing is fresh, she has a way with words which keep the reader interested in the book This is her debut novel.
