The last few years of Eleanor Benedict’s life have been hell. After a tragic accident that cost her parents their lives, Norrie has never been the same. With no physical injuries, the doctors cannot find a reason for her ailment and diagnosed her with what’s called hysterical blindness. Trying to cope with life, the last thing Norrie expected was for her fiancée to dump her. Left alone in a world of darkness, Norrie was starting to learn there was more to the world than meets the eye.
Out of all the pain a unique ability form, giving her something to grab a hold. By touch alone, she can experience the past –a unique view in other peoples lives. When the local police department has trouble on a case, Norrie gets called. Grateful to be of use, Norrie never expected the path she walked to become so twisted. On the hunt for a serial killer called the Preacher, Norrie must experience each person’s life … and death.
Each time her gift was used, the more it took its toll. With the help of Dylan Jones and Brandon Hawke, both men working on the case, Norrie was able to continue. But for how long? The killer knows who she was and where she lived. And both Dylan and Brandon started to become overprotective of her, blurring the lines of work and private life. Each man call to something in her, but will she get a chance to explore further? For the killer was moving closer, intent on doing God’s work.
What an amazing story! I didn’t always like every characters attitude all the time, but I would say it only made them more human. The suspense was fantastic, at the edge of your seat. I love the alternate glimpse into the killer’s life verses the up hill battle of a cop’s job.
