Playwright and senators daughter Leah Townsend appears to have the perfect life: an even keeled life with a long standing relationship with safe, steady but smothering Edward. And, Leah rides on the success of her first play while ignoring the failures of the one’s to follow. Leah’s life is a sure and steady thing, and a little boring, until today.
Leah’s normal peaceful existence is interrupted by life’s crazy spin. An unrepentant prodigal sibling returns, a friend seeks permission and support to indulge in sinful activity. And then, after a small spat, Edward signs them up for conflict resolution classes. It’s the class that begins the true change in Leah’s life when suddenly conflict abounds and she has to learn how to cope. Fellow class member and radio talk show host Cinco Dublin makes life a little more interesting for Leah.
Soon Cinco and Lean know their friendship could progress to something more intimate, but Leah longs for the peace that once was. And, what about Edward? And, Cinco’s business – radio talk show host thrives on conflict! If the two ever did get together romantically, how would they coexist?
Renee Gutteridge gives us another fun love story with an endearing character that grows into an admirable heroine. Cinco is what we want in a hero, and of course as is this writer’s style, you get at least a smile, if not a chuckle on each page. Highly recommended!!
