A former hacker turned crack computer security consultant, Naomi Connor is one of the best in the business. When her company is contracted to conduct a security audit for Brennan Shipping, a company she hacked into as a young girl, she fights for the job. Although she feels the need to go and check out the company, to somehow make restitution, she doesn’t want to inform the owners of her identity until after the job is complete…after all, she did almost destroy the company. But when she begins the job, she never realized her heart would become involved as well.
Joe Casey knows he needs the best to test the security measures that he’s put in place as temporary chief technology officer of Brennan Shipping, but he never expected his expert to be a woman and a gorgeous, sexy, desirable one as well. Naomi is nothing like he expected and even when he discovers that she was a previous hacker, he can’t fight his attraction to her. Can their budding relationship survive Naomi finding a major leak and her secret?
Big Trouble has it all. The smart, sexy characters interact with each other with a clever, witty dialogue as well as with sizzling chemistry. Naomi is an anomaly: a very intelligent, very beautiful woman who is also genuinely nice. She’s got hang ups about her body but Joe is the perfect man to help her overcome them. Their attraction begins immediately but they’re both rather cautious so their sexual relationship develops gradually. Joe has definite ideas about “crooks” and is reserving judgment about Naomi. But although his brain is thinking one thing, his heart and body have different ideas. As a lover of characters and wonderful character development, Big Trouble had me hooked almost immediately. But Ms. Jameson brings so much more to this wonderful story. The technical aspect of the computers was not overwhelming and was in fact, thoroughly explained. In addition, the suspense is intricately weaved into the story and although you know the hammer is going to fall eventually in regards to Naomi’s past, you’ll be on pins and needles waiting to discover just how it will affect them. Add this one to your “Must Read” pile; you definitely won’t be disappointed.
