Sanders L Mann works for Morpheus, the god of dreams. Sandy is the behind the scenes man who make sure things run smoothly. He loves his job but their is a side affect -he can’t be next to anyone, touch anyone or they immediately drift off to sleep. Talk about a date dampener. Desperate, he turns to the Paranormal Mates Society in a last ditch effort to find a match.
Pe-Ben is a winter god. Every summer he must leave his home so the land could be reborn. This year he left his travel plans until last minute and has no where to go. He loves being a god, but it has its bad side. He has an annoying habit of putting his partners inadvertently to sleep with only a few words -ultimately leaving him without a partner.
Frustrated and wanting to get away, Pe-Ben joined the Paranormal Mates Society. Drawn to one message, he opens it, surprised at how attracted he is to the man. But without a full bio listed, Pe-Ben doesn’t want to waist his time on a mere mortal only to be disappointed. Again. When no other offers come and unable to get the man off his thoughts, Pe-Ben decides to contact him and take a chance. After the first meeting, the attraction is instantaneous. But is it strong enough to risk the wrath of Morpheus when things at work start going haywire?
The book started off with a bang. Sandy drew my attention, but his personality didn’t grab my sympathies. He seemed more concerned about sex, than finding a partner. Once we introduced Pe-Ben, he became a little more enduring. Kira Stone’s Paranormal Mates Society: Insomnia is an intriguing addition to the PMS group. If you read and like the first two, you shouldn’t be disappointed in this sexy read. It is a little different, but follows the basic Paranormal Mates theme.
