A widowed woman with no prospects you say. Well Marrin did not let that hamper her when she got Keane to become her farm worker/ husband. Keane is a native of the planet Lujawed, while Marrin is from
Earth and a transplant. They are battling to survive on the desert planet to eek out a living. Marrin’s
first husband died, leaving her alone with young daughters to raise. Can
Marrin and Keane make it or will all just blow away in the desert like a
sand storm?
Flashbacks of Marrin Levy’s life make this book well worth the look. I loved the way Megan Hart took a frightened woman and made her strong while Keane was there for her through it all. Keane was raised with little or no love in his life and it made it very interesting to see how they related with each other as sparks flew. While this is a short story it is has a lot of emotion, heat and the substance to make this a good book. Like all relationships you get to watch them emerge from friends to lovers. Two total different people from different worlds coming together for a better life as husband and wife made this tale one you must read without fail.
