Allegra
finds herself dreaming of a powerful man who stirs her senses, and

friends receive an invitation from the mysterious Lord and Lady
Ambretti, they
are shocked to discover that they are to be competing for the
affections of the
same man Allegra has dreamed about for ages. Count Del Fra’s is an
elder
vampire and he wants Allegra. The catch is he has to spend time with
all three
women in order to make his choice by vampire law. What the women do not
understand is if they refuse or fail, they will die! Its time for the
games to
begin!
This story
had elements of the classic tale of Cinderella, but with a charming
twist, that
is guaranteed to knock the socks off the reader. Each page was a new
painting,
as this reader got lost in the world of the vampires. Set in Venice in the
late 1500’s, the setting it is
a delight and you can actually see the way it was back when. This
author truly
did a lot of research to make it sound very authentic and captivating.
Allegra
Montague is a woman who is always in control, who chooses and discards
her
lovers like a pair of socks. At first, she is unsure of herself and
confused
but by the time she meets Gabriele in reality, she finds herself
matching wits
and prose with him. When Gabriele challenges that control with his own
alpha
male personality, sparks fly and passion explodes between these two.
The love
story between them is at times tender but also highly erotic. The
readers will
find themselves rooting for Gabriele and Allegra to be together for all
eternity. This author created concrete character development which made
Allegra
very likeable from the beginning.
Gabriele,
Count del Fra, is a vampire elder in search for his bride. In order for
him to
claim Allegra, he has to have her with two other women and in that
comes erotic
romance at its best. He is a perfect foil to Allegra’s dominant
personality and
captivates her in her dreams and when they come together in reality, it
is explosive.
With each page, his romantic side is displayed across as well as his
dominance
and arrogance, which ensnares the reader as well as Allegra.
Allegra’s
Seduction is
the first in a wonderful series that is by Ms. Martin. She writes with
flair
and definitely captures the imagination of the reader in this new twist
of a
vampire tale. Each page was intricately woven with great writing, a
lush
setting, and captivating characters; this is truly a book that stays
with you
long after the last page is read. Be forewarned, however, that there
are some
brief M/M, M/F/F and light bondage scenes that enhance the story
instead of
taking t away from it. Ms. Martin sets up the story for the next book
and this
reviewer is highly looking forward to it!
