This second of the Illegitimate Heirs series is even better than the first! Nick Daniels is a hell of a hero whose charisma flows effortlessly off the pages. The past relationship between Nick and Cheyenne is a large focal point of the story, but also dealing with the present. Neither can deal with the present without dealing with their past. I was riveted to this story to see how it would play out. It was enjoyable to see both Cheyenne and Nick fight their attraction for one another while denying that they still felt anything besides anger for the other. A reader can feel the energy of the characters and are powerless to resist the author’s words.
Ms. DeNosky heats up the pages with an emotional story of revenge and unrequited love. Nick’s story captured me more than its predecessor, but keeps me in anticipation for what’s to come in book three, in March 2006. Reunion of Revenge is a gem of a tale and an awesome sequel to the first of this series.
