CATARI HEAT 2: DOUBLE THE PLEASURE by Kyla Logan

Jeran and Jarod are both powerful men in the Jageri race. Jeran is the shaman of their people, while Jarod is the alpha leader. As twins, they have a unique bond that enables them to communicate telepathically. When a call of distress crosses the same link, the twins know they finally located their long awaited mate. Yet, instead of joy, the men fear for her life. In distress, trapped in their former enemy’s territory, the men must risks their lives, and possibly ignite a war to retrieve their mate.

Cashing on a strange planet is not Ashley’s idea of fun. Injured and unable to wake, she battles for her life in a dream world. Every time she weakened, two voices urged her back from the brink. Waking a few days later, she finds herself under observation by two very hansom men. Ashley is thankful for their healing, but senses something’s not quite right with them. Following the link to find answers, she inadvertently trigged the mating process, binding them together.

Both men insisted it would be unfair to connect fully with Ashley, not until she understood exactly what her options were and give her a choice. They might be animals, but they’re not barbarians. Slow at first, Ashley felt the links strengthen by the hour. She must decide whether to finish the connection or refuse, and ultimately destroy the very two men who saved her life.

I like the story, found it entertaining, but it had a lot of information to take in at the beginning of the book. Having not read book one, it took me more than a few pages to catch up with the storyline and characters, but it was well worth the wait! I had a hard time distinguishing which twin spoke in the first few pages, but the characters were so well crafted, it didn’t take long to catch onto their distinct personalities. The romance was spicy and very public, keeping in with the Catari customs. Overall, I found the novel fascinating and will be looking for book three in this series.
