Ariel has lost all hope of saving her daughter from cancer when she meets Zeraac. He jumps in and saves her and her daughter from an attack to become an instant friend. She doesn’t have the heart to refuse her daughter anything, and when Kaylee requests that Zeraac come and see them again, she can’t refuse. Besides, there’s an instant attraction that makes her want to see him again, and she can’t let it go, even though she should. Little does she know just what she’s getting into.
Zeraac has been sent on a mission to find an earth woman for his brother’s bond mate and make sure she is doing well. He volunteers, because in his world he is known for being sterile and because of that there is no hope of a mate. Even the one that was chosen for him had rejected him due to his inability to have children. His life is now his work, until he meets Ariel and her daughter. The two’s tragedy draws him, but more than that it’s Ariel. He’s convinced she’s his mate, but what would she want with a man that can’t even give her a child and is from another world entirely? He doesn’t know, but for the Kaylee’s sake and hers he’s willing to take a chance that she will accept a new world and two husbands. Surprisingly, he chooses an unlikely second husband for their triad, Komet.
Komet has despaired of ever getting a mate. His family is known to be the ones that had brought the virus that had made most of the women on his planet sterile. Now his house is tainted, and most women will have nothing to do with him. His people have found that when the two different men mate with a certain bloodline of earth woman they can have a child. He couldn’t believe it when Zeraac chooses him to be his second. Will the woman accept him?
Zeraac’s Miracle is a good story that really had my attention. Ariels daughter Kaylee is terminally ill with cancer, and it gives a different tone to the story than I would have thought. Zeraac was almost too tortured by his fertility issues and it was somewhat distracting. Ariel offered no resistance to Zeraac and Komet, where the real story line came in was winning the acceptance of Zeraacs people to their union. And what happens to Kaylee? Ariel is a fertile woman and in high demand, and Zeraac’s people want to make sure that she reproduces, which she can’t if she stays in that relationship. It’s an interesting journey into another world that will be sure to keep you guessing until the end.
