TWINKLE by Eilsa Morgan

This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine, this little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine, let it shine, let it shine, let it shine. br>
I learned that song way back in Sunday School, and here it is a few decades later and I’m being reminded in a most fun, and easy to facilitate manner…to let my light shine!

TWINKLE shows us how we can shine our light – not our flash light – but our Jesus light, in everyday situations to illuminate those around us in His ever present radiance. It’s not full of steps, or roads, or plans to draw people into the scripture, but it is a beacon of hope that let’s us use what and where God puts us naturally to share His love.

Author Elisa Morgan doesn’t promise ease or results, but she does let us be us, and, I like that, because after all, He made me the way I am, surely He can use me how he made me…..right? No formula’s or memorization here, just us and Him.

The slim book is broken into three parts:

Part one is Getting Past the 'I Can'ts'.

All the excuses and reasons you can think of are dealt with. I can’t shine my light because my light is too small, I might fail, I don’t want to offend, I don’t know all the answers – are some of the issues addressed.

Part two. Grabbing on to the 'I Cans'.

I can Accept others the way they are, be real, offer hope in the daily minutes of life, offer help and hope, accept the doubts of others, serve, leave a legacy of light, and more.

The third section is a selection of discussion questions.

Twinkle is the perfect book for anyone wanting to make a difference with their faith. I highly recommend it for individual study or group discussion, too. The easy writing style makes this an enjoyable read.
