There are books that when you are done reading and you set it down, you think magical; yet there are those special few that when you are done reading them, the moment you set it down, you cannot wait to pick them up again to experience the magic of the writing and the characters lives within, that is what you get with Lord of Temptation. With her second book, Ms. Quinn pronounced herself worthy and the sky is the limit for this highly creative and talented author!
Gianelle has had her heart broken and was abandoned by her father. She has survived by shutting out things that would hurt her heart and soul. Do not even think of getting on her bad side; you could get anything from a tart licked (this reader’s favorite) to daffodils spiked in your drink. What a spitfire Gianelle is-- this is what gives her so many wonderful facets to her already wonderful personality. She is perfectly opposite of what Dante is used to when he has dealt with women. What a delightful challenge for him.
Dante is that one fine male species that just about every woman seems to be hunting for. He is gorgeously handsome, has long dark hair, beautiful silver eyes, along with being tall and muscled. He is the deadliest of warriors, especially with a sword. When it comes to women, his attitude has always been enjoy them now, then leave when he tires of them. There is just something very special about Gianelle, and Dante is not willing to let her get by him!
Lord of Temptation by Paula Quinn is a historical romance that should garnish awards this year for the best medieval/historical romance. What an enchanting path the readers get to follow a long, while falling in love with Dante and Gianelle. This reviewer found this book exceptional in every word, phrase, and deliciously heated moment.
