Bonny Eagle, junior investigative reporter with the local newspaper, got a tip about Robert Barron, local multimillionaire property developer, that he is a secret Scrooge. She decides to break into his house in the middle of the night and see if she can find any incriminating papers verifying the information she received. Barron comes home earlier than expected and catches Bonny at his house. It is the holidays and he doesn't want to turn her into the police. Robert is intrigued by Bonny and wonders what she had been looking for. Things get really hot between them. He wants to get close to her and they wind up in bed together. Bonny disappears after a night of sizzling hot sex. An article soon appears in the local newspaper making Robert Barron look like a Scrooge. Robert is horrified when he learns the B. Eagle who wrote the article is the same Bonny he met at his house. He feels betrayed. Will the spirit of the holidays allow a little Christmas forgiveness so Bonny and Robert can pursue their intense connection together?
The characters of Bonny and Robert are very entertaining. The way they met was quite unusual. There was so much sizzling chemistry between them. I really enjoyed their story. I recommend this book.
