Marrisa Olando loved her "family" of neighbors in the apartment building she lived in. Everyone was always willing to help each other and had been so kind to Marrisa since she moved there after her mom suffered a stroke. Now there was talk that a new owner was going to change their little apartment building into condos, people who had been living there for years, some on fixed incomes would have to look for another place to live..
Marrisa had sold everything to pay her for her mother's care, and on her teaching salary this apartment was the only thing she could afford. She wondered how this new owner could be so heartless!
Lee Roman was a contractor and had renovated many buildings n the Houston area in the past. This was the first time he would be working on a building with tenants still in there. He was good at his job but never had to deal with a woman like Marrisa. She was stubborn and her dedication to all those in the building was unshakable. Her determination to help
could cost him his business yet there was something about this woman that he couldn't stay away from.
The chance meeting of both Marrisa and Lee in a stalled elevator at the beginning gives the readers a bit more information on Marrisa and one immediately takes her side in this crusade. Lee seems to have a heart but also has responsibilities to his backers to get the job done on time. It seems that the moment these two meet it's the start of a romance that has ups and downs yet your money is on the little lady to make her way the only way this contractor will find she's the perfect one for him.
A don't-miss for the romantic at heart.
