Maggie is picked up by an alien craft and thrown into a situation that she couldn’t have imagined in her wildest dreams. A sexy alien wants to marry her and she is stunned. She’s not so sure that she wants anything to do with this, so she lies and tells him that she’s married. But she soon finds out that being left alone is worse than having Vladei near.
Vladei can’t believe that he’s finally found his prophesied mate after so long. When he sees her, he knows that she is the one, regardless of what she wants. He’s shocked to find out that she is already married; because he was sure he would have sensed it if she was. He has to go by the rules of his culture so he must be punished, and Maggie has to be the one to do it.
I really had a good time reading Taming Him, although I would have liked to have seen more of a connection between Maggie and Vladei. While the attraction was there, it didn’t seem to have the fire that I like to see between the two characters. When they finally get together it is erotic, because Vladei’s culture is definitely not as prudish as Maggie when it comes to sex. I thought Maggie was great, she was confused and thought that going home would be what she wanted, like most people would. When reality came, she wanted to change her mind but was caught in her lies. If you are looking for something spicy and good to read on a cold winter’s night, give Taming Him a try, you won’t regret it.
