Theron has been specially bred as a warrior, and is destined to mate with only one woman. He isn’t so sure that he wants to be tied to one woman, because he likes what he does and doesn’t think he could continue if he settled down. When he meets Nyssa, he can’t get her out of his mind, despite her forceful ways. Not only that, she’s going to be the next ruler, and doesn’t even know it. She isn’t at all what he expected in a mate, but it seems like he is going to have no choice in the matter, his heart has already taken over his head.
Nyssa is outraged when a guardian is assigned to her against her wishes. She’s determined to be as nasty to him as possible in order to be left alone. But something about this sexy man is drawing her, and even when he decides to tame her she finds it hard to resist. But nobody tames Nyssa, so she’s going to make it as difficult as possible.
Nyssa has been assigned a guardian because her life is in danger, whether she likes it or not. Theron is equally unimpressed with his new assignment to guard the difficult woman he sees before him, at least at first. Despite the fact they are both resisting the situation they find themselves in, the sparks still fly.
When I first started reading Nyssa’s Guardian, I didn’t really care for Nyssa, and unfortunately that impression stuck with me throughout the story. That being said, it was still a good story that has two very strong willed people clashing like there is no tomorrow, something that is always fun to read. I really liked Theron, I almost wished he didn’t have to deal with Nyssa at all. There are some strong bondage scenes, and some really wild sex that definitely heats up the story. I thought that Nyssa’s Guardian was a hot read with a great story line, definitely worth a try.
