Dayne
Matthews, Hollywood’s #1 leading man is looking for a woman with
innocence, poignancy and realism to star opposite him in his next film.
He’s also looking to learn more about the past, a past where some
shocking secrets that he recently learned a little of, lie. During
Dayne’s search he meets Katy Hart, a director in a children’s theatre
that he’d once seen on stage, in the town where old secrets lie, and he
knows she is perfect for the part in his next film. It’s an offer that
Katy really can’t refuse. As Katy and Dayne bare the continuous eyes of
the paparazzi and they are the most-talked about duo, the secrets to
Dayne’s past are there to unfold. Will there be a price to Katy’s
newfound Fame? Will the secrets Dayne seeks be revealed?
Karen
Kingsbury is becoming one of my favourite authors. Fame is
an excellent story of dreams coming true. Katy Hart is a character that
readers will identify with and love getting to know. The secrets to
Dayne’s past, while many questions are still unanswered, keep a reader
enthralled into this story. Fame is this series, and I
know Ms. Kingsbury will probably wrap up any lingering questions readers
might have as the series continues, and I look forward to learning all
the secrets of the past and watch as this series evolves. Fame leads it
off with a bang and will hook a reader. I can say that, I am eager to
read book two ASAP.
Having
not read all of Ms. Kingsbury’s Redemption series, which Dayne learned a
few secrets as that series ended, it was not difficult to follow in
Fame, which the Firstborn Series is tied into. Having only
read two stories in the Redemption series, Ms. Kingsbury still made it easy
for readers who might not have read that series, to catch up and follow along. Fame
is strongly recommended. This author brings readers into the lives of
her characters as they grow, learn life’s lessons and we fall in love
with them. I truly enjoyed Fame and its characters, Katy
and Dayne. I can’t wait to read more of this series in the coming books.
Exceptional writing, power in words and prayer and this reader enjoyed
living through these characters throughout this book. Don’t miss
Fame, it’s the start to what I think will be another great
series from Karen Kingsbury.
