~ Jasmine Haynes
When Kristin
Prescott turns thirty, she’s ready to leave the good, conservative woman
behind and find herself a man. But there’s one man that she wants, Ross
Sloan, but he’s her boss. Office romances are usually never the best
option for anyone and Kristin knows that Ross would never look at her
twice in anything other than the secretarial way. Ross prefers women who
are her exact opposite, in fact, he prefers women who are exactly like
her twin sister, Kirby.
The night of her
birthday when she dresses sexier and more seductively than ever before,
and Ross finds her having a drink, she can’t bring herself to be herself
and tells him that he’s actually found Kirby, Kristin’s twin. Can
Kristin continue the charade as her sister and finally be in the arms of
the man she wants most in the world? Will her plan backfire and she’ll
lose Ross, and possibly her job, forever?

Kirby Prescott is a
woman who does what she wants, owns a successful business and never
lacks male attention. So why is Kirby more involved with a man she’s
only met over the phone, a man who turns her on and knows her more
intimately than all the men she’s ever dated? Jack Taylor makes Kirby
burn and the phone conversations are heated and passionate. And Kirby
loves it that way. No commitment, no morning after awkwardness and she
doesn’t have to look good for him because he can’t see her. It’s a
perfect arrangement as far as Kirby is concerned.
But Jack suddenly
changes the rules of the game. He comes to town and Kirby is panicked.
What they had on the phone will change after meeting one another face to
face, she’s sure of it. She’s not a woman to settle down with one man
like her twin sister, Kristin, but Jack makes her want him around more
and more and think about the future.
What’s a girl to do
when a man gets under her skin…?
Susan Johnson and
Jasmine Haynes will tempt, seduce and keep their readers laughing while
enjoying Twin Peaks. This is a saucy and exciting ensemble of
spice and pleasure. In Wedding Surprise, Ms. Johnson turns
up the heat and readers are frantically flipping pages to see what would
happen, if Jake learned what Sofie had done. Though I was a put off a
lot by Sofie’s sleeping with one brother one night, then the other the
next, I did enjoy the humourous moments.
Double the Pleasure
gives exactly what the title implies, and then some. Kristin and Ross
set the book on fire with their passion and their game. Ross knew that
Kristin was not really Kirby, but let’s her pretend anyway, since he’s
madly head over heels for her and thinks it will be the only way to be
with her. Both characters are exposed believably and I enjoyed really
getting to know them both. I found myself very much connected to each of
them and it was a true pleasure to read this story. It is my favourite
story of the three.
Skin Deep
was also a pleasure to read, and while I enjoy a ballsy type female
character, I found at times that Kirby overdid it. Independence and
Kirby went together like cement – strong and hard. Thankfully Jack was
strong enough to break it all away. Kirby and Jack were very enjoyable,
but I just felt frustration with Kirby being standoffish and held her
independence too tightly. I loved that Ms. Haynes paired Kirby with a
less than perfect hero. But for this reader, he was a great one! In the
end, I was smiling and pleased with the outcome.
Twin Peaks
delivers three very hot and intense stories that are too powerful to
resist. Throw in the writings of two of today’s hottest authors and you
have a winner. Twin Peaks found its home on my keeper shelf.
