Schoolteacher Wendy Phillips has everything to look forward to with her first pregnancy, a loving husband and a supportive family. However, one phone call from her doctor sends her into a tailspin. How could she not know of her husband’s unfaithfulness? Where was God in all of this?
Kevin Phillips had led a wild life before he met Wendy, but he’d made a 180 degree turn. His wife meant the world to him. He couldn’t believe his life could be shattered with her unbelief in him. How could he get Wendy to understand?
Wendy’s family provided her support. Even her sister Kim, who was on the run from God, walked alongside her in her need. Kevin’s letter of explanation went unheeded, and Wendy began a new life determined to forget. But God doesn’t let you off the hook that easily.
Sanders has taken a real life problem and turned it into a good plot. As she hones and sharpens her writing skills, I believe this author will pen more fine novels. She has a unique way with words and a fresh approach to the commonplace. Let’s hope for more true-to-life stories from her.
