Jack Malloy was a man plagued by nightmares of his past, shadows that wouldn't let go of his soul. His sister Nicky watched the torment he went through and though she tired to find out what the cause, was she got no answer from Jack. It was her idea to have her friend Rebecca Connor help and maybe she could at least find out what was troubling her brother. Rebecca has her own demons that she had overcome from her childhood and maybe with her help Jack could overcome his. What Nicky didn't understand was that Jack's dreams always had Rebecca in them, calling to him for help.
What was the secret that held such a bond for these two? There was one more obstacle for this couple to climb, one that would truly test their love.
I found this to be a story that has the reader captured from the first page. I found the characters real and even the secondary characters were introduced as though we could see them walking in the scene. Jack's childhood was one of torment and pure hell but some how Rebecca was the one light in his life that always meant something special. Maybe the torment and nightmares were only steps to bring him back to her, knowing that she truly was his prize
