Starr Struck: As an engineer,
Adriana's tried
to move on with her life after her fiancé, Quillan Starr left
her at the altar.
She comes back to Rendevous Station for the wedding of her best
friend,
Zelina and finds herself reminiscing about the man who left her just
over a
year ago.
But she doubts her senses
when she sees visions of him
around the station and initially chalks it up to sentimentality but
will she
walk away—or risk it all to gain another chance at love with the one
man who
charmed his way into her life?
Beneath a Million Stars: A turn of phrase
changes
the life of Protocol Officer Cassiopeia of Octavaria when the Cetian
ambassador
mistakes her offer of hospitality and greetings to Epsilon Station
for a
marriage proposal.
Suddenly she's got a
fiancé and finds herself in the middle
of a misunderstanding that takes on galactic proportions an ultimately
costs
her job as she attempts to put things right—but can she forgive herself
for
making a muddle of things with the ambassador who is utterly smitten
with her?
This reviewer thoroughly
enjoyed both of Ms. Bedwell-Grime's
short stories. Starr Struck is a touching and tender tale of
taking a
risk of being hurt again to find out the truth and possibly be reunited
with
her true love. Adriana finds the courage and the faith to pursue the
most
unlikely of leads to reclaim her man and get her happily-ever-after.
In Beneath a Million
Stars is a delightful comedy of
manners between two young diplomats from very different cultures as
they try to
come to terms with their cultural differences and learn to understand
that they
really are well matched. Cassie is the underdog who beats the odds in
spite of
herself, and finds that a simple mistake in translation has brought her
a
chance at happiness.
Ms. Bedwell-Grime's short
tales certainly whet the appetite
for more of her imaginative style and humor. This reviewer certainly
intends to
avail herself of other works to add to her library. Put this one there
and keep
it!
