Billy Bannister’s life takes a sudden turn when he discovers his father was once a full blooded dragon. His own dragon traits, only now coming to the surface, send his world careening into chaos as a crazed dragon slayer tries to destroy his family and his new half-dragon friend, Bonnie Silver. Will an ancient poem be enough to guide them to find the truth and save others like him? Or will they need something more?
Raising Dragons launches you into a world of danger and intrigue filled with dragons, secrets, and faith. Bonnie’s longing to belong and Billy’s confusion over his father’s lies send them both searching. But Bonnie has a faith Billy can’t quite understand.
Bryan Davis has created an involved set of characters and plot. The settings are woven into the story so well you feel the leaves crunching under your feet and feel the wind as dragon wings stir it up. Laced with King Arthur legends and fantastic imagination, Raising Dragons is sure to become a favorite for adults as well as kids.
My eleven year old loves the books as do I. I cannot wait for the next one to come out. Bryan Davis has a hit with Raising Dragons.
