Things go from bad to
worse for Marisha when she looses her
job, then she's trying to fend off muggers and gets a nasty bump on the
head.
She wakes up with a very lusty medieval noble leering down at her,
never mind
the equally randy…dragon?! And why is her old buddy Tim in her bed? Is
he there
to rescue her or show her what she's been missing? Either way, she's
going to
have to decide on a man, a world and a time but for now, she's
determined to
enjoy herself.
While this is a very hot
story, with sizzling delights to
make a lady wonder what she really does want, this reviewer found some
of the
shifts between places to be a little disconcerting.
Marisha and the different
places she visits are consistent
and richly detailed though it feels as though one is reading different
stories
that have found their way between the same covers, and it is unclear if
this
was the intended result or an accident of fate.
Ms. Harte does give the
effect of very different dreams,
relating to very different sides of the same woman and what she truly
desires
in her lovers…and in spite of Marisha's fantasies, she does eventually
choose
the man who can fulfill all her desires while keeping her feet firmly
grounded
in reality.
Fans of Ms. Harte's other
works will find this an enjoyable
read to add to their collections.
