Believing herself to
be in a dream, Alex finds herself in the Goblin world. Surrounded by
strange creatures, she is told she must go to see Crick, the Goblin King
immediately as he won’t feed them unless she does. Alex finds herself
stripped of her clothing and when she reaches him, she finds an
extremely gorgeous man. However, she must be punished for taking her
sweet time before arriving – what does he have in mind?
The Goblin King
is only twenty-four pages long thus it is very short on character and
story development. Alex and Crick’s relationship certainly sizzles on
the physical level. Their scenes together are filled with eroticism.
We know very little of Crick and Alex, other than their sexual
compatibility, and the author leaves us wanting more information about
them – what happened before they met and what happens after -- we are
left with unanswered questions. The Goblin King was a short but
tantalizing read. It gives the reader a glimpse of the Goblin world and
this reader hopes Ms. Renn will expand it more in a later book.
