DANCE OF THE BUTTERFLY by Cris Anson

Kat Donaldson is developing a reputation for finding and promoting talented upcoming artists. So when she sees some beautiful wood carved furniture made by Magnus Thorvald, she knows she’s found her next rising star. And when she sees him, she also wants him to be her next sexual partner. Unfortunately, when she meets him, his attitude really ticks her off! He may be a sexy, talented hunk of man, but he’s also a jerk who’s afraid of a strong, sexual woman. Regardless of his outlook, Kat’s decided that she will be his agent and represent him. Now she just has to convince Magnus. And if she can convince him of a few other things, so much the better.

Magnus is an artist dedicated to his work. He loves creating and finding the beautiful object hidden in a chunk of wood. What he doesn’t like is a woman who is confident in her sexuality and openly flaunts it. A woman like Kat Donaldson. He may be attracted to her physically, but he won’t act on that attraction because she seems too much like his ex-wife, a lying, cheating woman who shattered his trust in all women. In addition, when he discovers that Kat is an active member of a notorious sex club, he knows she’s not the woman for him. Or his impressionable younger brother! He decides to keep an eye on her to ensure she doesn’t corrupt him.

Ms. Anson once again delivers a wonderful story filled with strong characters, a great story and sizzling sex. Dance of the Butterfly is the second in the Dance series but could definitely be read as a stand-alone book. Once again the readers meet Kat. She’s a strong woman who knows what she wants and goes after it. Usually, she doesn’t have any problems getting it either. But Magnus is the one man who will say no to her. A beautiful woman before has burned him and he doesn’t trust anyone, especially a freethinking sexual woman like Kat. Their interactions are filled with heat and sexual tension. I really enjoyed these two and their journey to discover just what they wanted and needed from a sexual partner. The secondary characters were also interesting, leaving lots of room for another story…a story I for one can’t wait for!
