Billy Bannister and Bonnie Silver find themselves drawn deeper and deeper in the world of dragons. Bonnie is lured into a trap by a scientist claiming her beloved mother is still alive. Billy must fight with a sword and shield he cannot see. Both must learn to rely on Someone other than themselves for strength.
“The Candlestone” continues the story started in Bryan Davis’ “Raising Dragons”. These books are wonderfully written. Rich with characters you can love and hate, “The Candlestone” brings us closer to a showdown between good and evil. Watch Bonnie and Billy must learn to trust each other and others in order to defeat the dragon slayer before he can get them.
I highly recommend this series for kids and adults alike. My eleven year old son LOVES them and I’ve gotten hooked as well. I’m anxiously awaiting the fourth book having already read book three. Be prepared to read from cover to cover without putting the book down.
