Ex-spy, Lacey Montgomery never expected that when she and her six-year-old daughter, Emily, boarded the train, they would be separated. Emily, kidnapped by a terrorist, and Lacey handcuffed to a hospital bed, wanted for murder—a murder she doesn’t remember
of a man she doesn’t know.
Desperate for help, Lacey contacts the only man she knows she can trust. Her deceased husband’s best friend, Jim Micah. Only thing is, Micah believes Lacey murdered her husband. And if she had a daughter, he would have known about it! In spite his misgivings, he agrees to help.
But Lacey is a mastermind at espionage. She wraps Micah into her web of deceit, making him wonder what is truth and what is fiction. Will Micah trust Lacey enough to help her? Or will he turn her in for betraying her country’s secrets.
FLEE THE NIGHT is book one in the new Team Hope series. Susan May Warren does a stellar job, grabbing the readers interest on page one and keeping it all the way through the book. While I didn’t care for the book as much as I did her Deep Haven series, I had no problem connecting with the characters and growing to love them.
You won’t be disappointed with FLEE THE NIGHT. It is just the book to take along on vacation. You won’t want to put it down.
